Appointed Duty Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Appointed Duty (“the app”) is a prayer alarm app published by System AI Solutions Ltd (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short, Appointed Duty is built to run on your device, it does not require an account, and we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers.

2. Information the app uses, and where it stays

Your settings, the mosques you follow, your schedule and your alarms are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to us.

Location: with your permission, the app uses your device location to find nearby mosques and to improve prayer-time accuracy and the at-mosque feature. Your location is used on your device for these features and is not sent to us or shared with anyone.

Prayer times: when you add or follow a mosque, the app requests that mosque's published timetable from third-party providers (such as Mawaqit and Masjidal). Those requests are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies, so the app can show you accurate times.

Calendar: if you turn on calendar sync, prayer times are written to your own device calendar with your permission. This stays on your device.

Backups: any backup you create is a file that you control and choose where to save.

3. Information we do not collect

The app has no sign-in and no user accounts. It does not ask for your name, email or phone number. It contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data.

4. Permissions and why the app asks for them

Notifications, exact alarm and full-screen: so alarms ring reliably and can show on your lock screen at the right time. Location: to find nearby mosques and improve accuracy, as described above. Calendar: only if you choose to sync prayer times to your device calendar. Internet: to fetch mosque timetables from the providers above. You can review or revoke these permissions in your device settings, though some features may not work without them.

5. Sharing of information

We do not share your data. The only outbound requests the app makes are to the timetable providers named above, and only to retrieve the prayer times you asked for. No personal data is included beyond what is needed for that lookup.

6. Data security and retention

Because your data lives on your device rather than on our servers, it stays under your control. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. No method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

Appointed Duty is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
