Common questions
These are the same answers you will find under Help inside the app.
Why didn't my alarm ring?
Nearly always it is a phone permission. Open Home: if the gold Setup card is showing, tap Fix and allow what the phone asks for, one by one. The same thing appears as chips at the top of Settings. Then check that the alarm is switched on for that prayer on that day, and that alarms are not paused.
How do I stop the alarms while I am travelling?
Open Alarms and tap Pause all alarms, then choose anything from one day up to two weeks. Nothing rings until then and no setting is lost. A gold band at the top of the screen says when the pause ends, with Resume beside it.
How do I skip just one alarm, and undo it?
Open Alarms and tap Skip next. Only that one alarm is skipped, and the one after it is armed straight away. To undo it, tap Unskip on the gold band. The heads-up popup that comes before an alarm carries the same Skip button.
How do I change the alarm sound?
Open Settings and tap Alarm sound. You can take one of the phone's own alarm tones, or any audio file on the phone, or go back to the default. The choice applies to every alarm.
Can one prayer follow a different masjid?
Yes. Open Alarms, tap that prayer, then More, and under This alarm follows pick the masjid you want. Only that one alarm moves · everything else keeps following your daily masjid.
How does Jumuʿah work?
Jumuʿah is chosen on its own, on the Masjids screen under Jumuʿah · Fridays. Follow the first or the second jamāʿah at your daily masjid, or switch it off and keep the normal Zuhr alarm. If you pray Jumuʿah somewhere else, add that masjid and point the Friday alarm at it from Alarms · More. On Fridays the Jumuʿah alarm takes the place of Zuhr.
How do I move everything to a new phone?
On the old phone open Settings and tap Back up, then save the file somewhere you can reach again. Install the app on the new phone, open Settings, tap Restore and pick that file. Every alarm, masjid and setting comes back as it was.
How do I change the language?
Open Settings and look for Language. System follows your phone, or you can choose English or العربية yourself. Arabic lays the whole app out right to left, and what the alarms say changes with it.
What are the wake-up missions?
A mission is what the app asks of you before a full alarm will stop: solve three sums, retype a phrase, shake the phone thirty times, or photograph a spot you registered. Choose it for each prayer under Alert style, Full alarm + mission. Maths difficulty and the mission photo live in Settings.
Privacy
